Data for Climate Action
Cities and regions are leading the green transformation. Many have already committed publicly to achieving climate-neutrality in the next decades and the European Commission is investing to support such local green deals.
The digital transformation of cities and regions is one of the building blocks to support this transition with solutions to reduce waste and air pollution or to better manage critical resources from water to energy.
This session will look towards the close linkages between the green and digital transformation, the need for interoperability to sustainably scale successful solutions, and why it will be critical to measure the success of the twin transformation. It will further provide insights into the latest developments that are driving the twin transformation and the role of (good) data for climate action.
