With Data towards Proactive and Resilient Communities in South-East Asia

While urban areas are continuously expanding, cities are facing additional challenges such as natural disasters. In South-East Asia such challenges include rising sea-levels, destructive typhoon seasons as well as heatwaves, which put a strain on the urban communities.

Digital transformation offers the opportunity to support cities in becoming more resilient, green and inclusive towards its citizens. Data, and in particular, open data, can become a segway for better and proactive service provision. If managed sustainably, digital transformation can become a motor of growth and a catalyst for the local green transition.
